The Core Function Of A Fuel Pump Controller: Precise Fuel Management.
The fuel pump controller is essentially an electronic control module responsible for regulating the operation of the vehicle's electric fuel pump. Its primary task is to provide optimal fuel pressure and flow to the engine's injectors. The injectors precisely open and close, injecting fuel into the intake manifold or cylinders. Fuel pressure must remain stable and conform to the specifications of these injector pulses to deliver the correct amount of fuel. Insufficient pressure results in a lean condition (too little fuel in the air), leading to misfires and power loss. Excessive pressure results in a rich condition (too much fuel in the air), wasting fuel, increasing emissions, and potentially damaging components. The controller continuously adjusts the pump's speed and output to maintain this delicate balance.
